IBPC has 12 computer students

IN partnership with the Workforce Investment Agency and the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, the International Business and Professional College says it is producing “outstanding” students in its short-term computer course.

This month, IBPC President Herman Sablan said they have 12 students in the government-funded certificate program. The students will improve their knowledge regarding computer usage and its applications in today’s world as part of their professional development, he said.

“We create courses that are demanded by public/private employers,” Sablan said. Since IBPC first opened in 2004, it has already graduated more than 500 computer class students. Every year WIA and OVR sponsor students for the college’s computer class.

Some of the graduates are now working for government offices and agencies, IBPC said. This year, the computer users program started on Feb. 12 for the WIA-sponsored students. The 11 students are expected to complete the course on July 28. There are two OVR-sponsored students enrolled in the computer class.
